Candle and Chill: 3 Tips to Lighten Your Mood

You had a long day. Work was stressful, the dog destroyed your favorite pair of shoes, and the kids won’t stop fighting. All you want is peace and quiet before you pull your hair out. Well you have come to the right place. I’m going to give you 3 quick tips to help lighten your mood.

  1. Play some music -You don't need to listen to sad or uplifting music all the time, just pick an upbeat song that makes you happy and feel free to sing along! Music soothes your senses and is great for setting the mood. 
  1. Sip your favorite drink – When in doubt sip wine! Wine is my weekday drink of choice. Wine also contains antioxidants. Antioxidants rejuvenate the skin, increase skin elasticity and keep the skin bright and glowing. 
  1. Light candles – Candles are a girl’s best friend. The best candle fragrance to unwind with is lavender. Lavender is king of aromatherapy. It is best known for its stress relieving properties. Lavender will help restore calmness after a long day and set the mood for relaxation and self-care.
