Orders, returns, and how to get the most out of every burn. Didn't find your answer? Holler at us at the bottom of the page.

Orders & Shipping

When will my order ship?

Every order is hand-poured and packed with love, so give us 3–5 business days to get it out the door (weekends and holidays not included). Once it ships, delivery usually takes 3–6 business days depending on where you are and the shipping method you pick. You'll get a tracking email within 48 hours of it shipping.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yep! U.S. orders over $50 ship free. Two candles get you there — just saying.

Do you ship internationally?

We do! International shipping rates are calculated and shown at checkout. Heads up: return shipping on international orders is on you, so pick your scents with confidence.

Can I change or cancel my order?

Email support@shopbluefawn.com with your order number ASAP. If it hasn't shipped yet, we'll do our best to update or cancel it. Once it's on the way, it can't be changed — but you can still return it within 30 days.

My package hasn't shown up. Now what?

Check your tracking link first. If it's been more than 15 days since your shipping confirmation email and there's still no candle, email support@shopbluefawn.com with your name and order number and we'll sort it out.

Quick tip: we can't ship to P.O. boxes, so use a street address at checkout.

Why was my order cancelled?

It's usually one of two things: we couldn't verify your billing info, or an item sold out before we could pack it. Either way, you won't be charged for anything cancelled, and we'll email you to explain.

Returns & Damages

What's your return policy?

You've got 30 days from purchase to return unused items in their original packaging. Returns within the U.S. are free — start yours at account.shopbluefawn.com and we'll email you a label.

A few ground rules: sale items are final sale, we don't do exchanges, and international returns need to be requested within 14 days of delivery (return shipping is on you). The full details live in our Refund Policy.

When will I get my refund?

Once your return arrives and we've checked it out, we'll email you. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method within 21 days. Rather have store credit? Just let us know — that's an option on U.S. returns.

My candle arrived damaged. Help?

Ugh, we're sorry! Email support@shopbluefawn.com within 7 days of delivery with a photo of the damage and your order number. We'll review it within 3 business days, and we cover return shipping on anything damaged or defective.

Can I return a gift?

Totally. If the order was shipped straight to you as a gift, you'll get a gift credit for the value of your return, sent to you as an emailed gift certificate. The gift-giver never has to know.

Our Candles

What are your candles made of?

Every Blue Fawn candle is hand-poured with a paraffin-soy wax blend for a clean, even burn and a strong scent throw. We use cotton, lead-free wicks, and our fragrances are sourced locally.

How big are they, and how long do they burn?

Size and burn time are listed on each product page, so you'll always have the right info for whichever candle you're eyeing. Shop all scents →

What does "throw" mean?

Throw is how far a candle's scent travels through a room. We rate every scent on a 1–5 scale, from Soft (close and subtle) through Light, Balanced, and Big Energy, all the way up to Power Throw (the whole place knows you lit a candle).

Do you offer gift wrap?

We don't offer gift wrap — but honestly, our jars show up dressed for the party. Want it to go straight to the lucky person? Just enter their address at checkout.

Wax Melts

How do I use wax melts?

Pop a cube or two into the dish of a wax warmer (electric or tealight). As the wax melts, the scent fills the room — no wick required. When the scent fades, let the wax cool and harden, then pop it out and add a fresh cube.

Pro tip: a few minutes in the freezer makes old wax slide right out.

Candle or wax melts — which should I get?

Candles bring the full vibe: flicker, glow, the works. Wax melts are budget-friendly and perfect for trying a scent before you commit to the jar. Honestly? Both. Shop wax melts →

Candle Care

Why should I trim my wick?

A trimmed wick means a cleaner, safer flame and less soot. Trim it to ¼" before every burn. How to trim your wick →

How long should the first burn be?

Long enough for the melted wax to reach the edges of the jar — usually a couple of hours. Blowing it out too early can cause "tunneling," where the candle burns a hole down the middle and wastes wax. Just don't burn it more than 4 hours at a time.

What causes a candle to make black smoke?

That's soot, and a little is normal for any candle. Keep it to a minimum by trimming your wick to ¼", keeping your candle away from drafts, and keeping the wax pool free of wick trimmings and debris.

Any candle safety tips?
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Keep it away from drafts, curtains, bedding, kids, and pets.
  • Always burn on a heat-safe surface.
  • Stop burning when about ½" of wax is left.
